Fusion Suite for ARM64 Info and FAQ
We are excited to announce that JAWS®, ZoomText®, and Fusion® (Fusion Suite) fully support ARM64 devices running Windows 11. This means a faster and smoother experience on the latest Copilot+ PCs, like the Surface Pro (11th edition) and Surface Laptop (7th edition). The Fusion Suite installers automatically detect ARM64 processors and will install the right version of JAWS, ZoomText, or Fusion on your device.
Note: If you need to install any Fusion Suite application in a secure environment, separate installation packages are available for x64 and ARM64 processors. You can download the ARM64 version from the Offline Installers for Secure Environments page.
Hardware and Software Requirements
- An ARM64 device running Windows 11
- JAWS 2023 or later
- ZoomText 2025 (version 2025.2502.63 or later)
- Fusion 2025 (version 2025.2503.3 or later)
Note: If a previous, unsupported, version of JAWS, ZoomText, Fusion, FSReader is installed on your device, you must uninstall them all with shared components before installing JAWS for ARM64. For previous JAWS versions, make sure JAWS is not running during the uninstall. Voices and DAISY books do not need to be uninstalled.

What device is required?
An ARM64 based device which is a computer with an ARM64 processor. Examples are the Microsoft Surface Pro (11th edition) and the Surface Laptop (7th edition).
What Operating System is required?
Windows 11 is the minimum supported Operating System.
What braille devices are currently supported?
- Freedom Scientific Focus braille displays
- Humanware braille displays
Additional braille display support will be added as we work with our third-party partners.
What speech synthesizers are currently supported?
Eloquence, Vocalizer Expressive, SAPI 5x, SAPI 5x 64-bit, and Microsoft Mobile synthesizers are supported. Additional synthesizer support will be added as we work with our third-party partners.
How can I verify if the ARM64 version of JAWS, ZoomText, or Fusion is installed?
For JAWS, open the About dialog (Help > About JAWS) and the System Type will be ARM64.
For ZoomText or Fusion, open the About dialog (ZoomText or Fusion menu > Help > About) and you will see either ZoomText 2025 (ARM64) or Fusion 2025 (ARM64) as your software version.
What features are currently not available?
The following features are still under development:
- Citrix remote
- Convenient OCR from a scanner or camera
- Dongle authorization
What applications are currently not supported?
ARM64 versions of JAWS, ZoomText, and Fusion do not support 32-bit ARM applications.
What is the recommended version of Office 365?
For the best performance, we recommend installing the latest 64-bit version of Office designed specifically for ARM64 devices.
For German braille users, is RTFC available?
If you use German braille, you will still receive German braille output when using JAWS on ARM. However, the braille may look slightly different compared to what you see on other computers.
So, while both versions provide German braille, the output may not be exactly the same.
