Dark Reader Chrome Extension


Dark Reader

Available from the Chrome web store, the Dark reader chrome extension is an eye-care extension that enables night mode, creating dark themes for websites on the fly. Dark Reader inverts bright colors making them high contrast and easy to read at night. You can adjust brightness, contrast, sepia filter, dark mode, font settings and ignore-list.

Use the link above to find it in the Chrome web store and choose the Add to Chrome button.

Firefox Browser

You may use this link to find the Dark Reader extension for Firefox.

Alternatively, to enable the built in dark theme in Firefox do the following:

  1. Open the Add-ons and Themes manager by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+A.
  2. Press TAB to move to the Recommendations tab, and then press DOWN ARROW to move to the Themes tab.
  3. Move to the Enable button for the Dark (disabled) link and press SPACEBAR to activate it.

Skype Dark Theme


Skype Dark Theme

The Skype Dark theme can be toggled on or off by using the keystroke CTRL+SHIFT+T. You may also find this setting in the Skype settings under the Appearance button.

Office 365 Dark Theme


Office Dark Theme

To change the Office theme, do the following:

  1. Open one of the Office apps, and then select the File tab, ALT+F.
  2. Choose T for Options. Focus is on the General tab.
  3. Press TAB to move to the Office Theme combo box where you may use the ARROW Keys to select one from Colorful, Dark Gray, Black, or White. The Black theme provides the highest contrast of the choices available.
