Freedom Scientific Celebrates Second Annual "Sharkvember" in Honor of JAWS Screen Reading Software

Freedom Scientific, a global leader in assistive technology for people who are blind or have low vision and the makers of JAWS, ZoomText, and Fusion, is excited to announce the Second Annual "Sharkvember," a month-long event in November honoring the JAWS screen reader.

Sharkvember celebrates creativity and accessibility—uniting our global community of assistive technology users who experience the power of independence every day.

As we approach Sharkvember, Freedom Scientific will create a series of activities, inviting users to participate in special events throughout the month.

Once again, we will highlight the "Next Big Thing" contest, encouraging JAWS and ZoomText users to submit unique ideas that have the potential to impact the evolution of the software directly.

"When we launched this initiative last year, it was quite a challenge for us to choose the nominees," explained Rachel Buchanan, Director of User Education and Support. "Our team gathered for countless hours listening to innovative ideas, representing unique perspectives from the community.
