Lesson 9

Fusion, the Ultimate Accessibility Tool

Lesson 9 of 9

The Windows accessibility settings described in this module are perfect in situations where your student needs immediate access to a computer, but no assistive technology software like JAWS or ZoomText has been installed yet. As an instructor, you may also find the built-in Windows accessibility features helpful in your assessments with a client or student. Using these tools, you can get a good feel for their needs and better determine what additional accessibility software might work best for them.

Once it is clear that you need much more functionality than what is provided by these basic Windows tools, consider Fusion. Fusion combines two of the best vision accessibility tools available – ZoomText Magnifier/Reader and JAWS for Windows screen reader – into a single installation.
