Online Webinars

The Freedom Scientific Training department conducts training events every month. We teach you the basics of our products and even show you a few tricks to try with Fusion, JAWS, and ZoomText. Webinars are normally held on the third Thursday of the month at 12 PM Eastern Time. Check out the schedule and sign up for a future lesson.

1. With JAWS running, press M to move to the frame in the lesson where the Online Webinars page begins. Focus should be on the Skip to Content link at the top of the page.
2. Spend a moment reading about the upcoming webinars. (You can press H to move from one webinar heading to the next.) When you find a webinar that you’d like to attend, click the registration link, which opens the registration form in a new web browser tab. The form repeats a description of the webinar and includes several required edit fields for you to enter your first and last name, email address, and location.
3. Press E to move to the First Name edit field, and press ENTER to enter Forms mode. An audible sound indicates that you are in Forms mode. Type your first name in the field.
4. Press TAB to move to the next field and type your last name.
5. Continue to press TAB to move to and complete the other edit fields. An audible sound is heard when you exit the last form field.
6. Focus is now on the Register button. Press ENTER to submit the registration form. A Webinar Registration Approved page opens with links to add the event to your calendar as well as a link for joining the webinar when the time comes. You will also receive this information via email, so for now just press CTRL+F4 to close this browser window when you are finished reading the page and return to the lesson.

NOTE: The frame beginning at the top of column two is an iFrame containing the actual FS upcoming webinars page. You may read and interact with it as you would any other web page. To skip past this frame, press CTRL+END to move to the bottom of the current topic page.
