(Narrator) Adjusting audio settings.

While in a webinar or meeting you may want to confirm that your audio settings are correct. To do this TAB to the audio settings button and press ENTER.

(JAWS) Enter full screen button, mute, audio settings button.

(N) You can also press SPACE which I will do here.

(J) Space. Context menu, microphone (ATR USB microphone).

(N) You are presented with a number of choices here for specifying which speakers and microphone you will use, should you wish to change these options. I'm going to skip over these as they are very specific to how your computer is set up, but there are a few settings that I want to mention. They are all found under another audio settings option which is a dialog in this menu. Press the DOWN ARROW until you reach it and then press ENTER.

(J) Checked headset, microphone speaker/speaker audio settings…

(N) And you hear audio settings… I'll press ENTER.

(J) Enter, leaving menus, Settings.

(N) The first choice I want to talk about is the Test Speaker button. TAB until you reach this option.

(J) Audio tab. check select speaker, test speaker button.

(N) This is where you can go to test that your speakers are working correctly. Now TAB to the microphone test button.

(J) Speaker output level: speaker volume: microphone, mic button.

(N) Likewise you could test that your microphone is working here. Next TAB to the option "Automatically join audio by computer when joining a meeting."

(J) Microphone microphone volume microphone automatically adjust, automatically join audio by computer when joining a meeting check box checked.

(N) Now, as you heard this is a checkbox. You will check this box if you want to use your computer audio each time you join a meeting. Finally TAB until you reach the option that says "Audio tab."

(J) Always mute microphone, audio tab checked, selected.

(N) If your computer audio is selected JAWS will indicate that this box is checked. Press ESC to leave the audio settings and return to the Zoom meeting window.

(J) ESC. Zoom meeting ID: 401 – 132 – 338

(N) Any changes you made will automatically be saved.
