(Narrator) We've chosen some of the most common tasks within Skype for this demo. I'll be going through these tasks fairly quickly so don't hesitate to pause and replay and of course if you get stuck in Skype try JAWS Key+H, Hotel, or JAWS Key+W, Whiskey.

As we touched on earlier when we were discussing the layout of the Skype window there's a tabs area that contains four different Skype tabs. You can navigate there by TABBING.

(J) Enter. Message sent.

(N) I typed "hello" and pressed enter.

(J) Typing. New message from Dan Clark. Hi Rachel. Received at 1:06 p.m.

(N) My focus is still in the Edit box so I'll just type my response and press ENTER.

(J) Enter. Message sent.

(N) I said "How are you doing?"

(J) Typing. New message from Dan Clark. Things are going well. Still working on documentation for the new JAWS basic training. Received at 1:07 p.m.

(N) As you noticed, if your focus is in the conversation you'll hear JAWS speak each message. However if you're in another window you'll only hear the Skype sound. You'll need to navigate back to the Skype window and then view the conversation history. The command to jump to the open conversations history is JAWS key+CTRL+Y, Yankee.

(J) Rachael Buchanan hello emoticon smile. sent at 1:06 p.m. dot region.
