Transcript - Create a New Folder Using the Ribbon in File Explorer

(Narrator) You can quickly create a new folder using the Ribbon in File Explorer. Open the location where you want to create the new folder. I’m in the Documents folder, and I will Press the keystroke ALT+H to activate the Home tab on the ribbon.

(JAWS) Menu

(N) I’ll press N to activate the New Folder button.

(J) Leaving menus c:\users\ewhitaker\documents items view multiselect listbox edit new folder.

(N) A new folder is displayed in the list view on the right side of the screen. Edit Mode is activated, so I can give this folder a new name. By default, the words "New folder are displayed." I’ll type the words Training Quizzes over this text, then I’ll press ENTER to create the new folder, and exit Edit Mode.

(N) Focus returns to the list of folders and files, which now contains the new folder Training Quizzes that I just created.
